Super simple ways to help support your child's mental health through the pandemic and stress of getting back to normal. Help them increase their confidence and become more resilient through transparency, routine and openness.

Make a consistent routine

Routines give children a sense of structure. Big and small changes have less effect on children who have a consistent schedule they follow outside of those changes. Stay on the same page with them and ask how they feel about their schedule.

Be kind to yourself

You cannot pour from an empty cup. You need to put your own oxygen mask on before your child's. Make time for self-care. This sets a good example for your children as well, taking care of oneself is extremely important.

Seek help when needed

There is always help out there whether from a professional or in a book written by a professional. If you didn't know how to approach a plumbing issue, you call a plumber. If you do not know how to tackle any issue with your child, there is never any shame in asking for a little assistance.
